Since 2015, I've taken every photograph in 16 × 9. The widescreen frame holds enough room for detail, and yet enough silence for geometry.
Shooting only in 16 × 9 ratio has trained my eye to find the lines, the shapes, and the space that holds an image together as I look through the viewfinder. Over time, what began as a deliberate discipline has become an instinct, and through the frame I've come to see a different world.
