In 2015, I started to crop all my newly taken photos to widescreen aspect ratio: 16 x 9. 16 x 9 is a beautiful ratio that enables a photo to capture a tremendous amount of detail while providing ample space to reflect minimalist geometric beauty.
Keeping myself disciplined to shooting only in 16 x 9 has forced me to make a conscious effort to identify lines, shapes, and the balance that comes along with them through a viewfinder. Eventually that equilibrium has become subconscious and has allowed me to see a different world.
